Overview of tour

The life of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is associated with the small town of Bodhgaya. It is one of the four holiest cities of Buddhist faith. The Mahabodhi temple is the main attraction of this town and is located near the spot where Lord Buddha attained spiritual enlightenment. Bodhgaya is not only an important Buddhist pilgrim center, but it is also an important center for the study of Buddhism.

Itinerary


 Day 01- Arrival Delhi
Upon arrival to Delhi, after arrival transfer to hotel check in to hotel, dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 02 - Delhi-Lucknow-Sravasti By Flight/Bus
Early wake up & breakfast, after breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing of Delhi. Which includes India Gate, President House , Government Building, Parliament House, Qutub Minarand Birla Temple. After this we proceed for lunch in the local reaturant. After lunch we will be transfer to Airport to have flight for Lucknow. On arrival at Lucknow, we straight go for dinner & after dinner we proceed to Sravasti On arrival at Sravasti check in too hotel and overnight.

Day 03 - Sravasti-Kapilavastu-Lumbini 6 hrs. By Surface
Early Morning we will have early breakfast , & then we proceed for sight seeing which includes, Jetavana (Temples & Monastery), Stupa of Angulimala also known as Pakki Kutti, Kachhi Kuti close to Pakki Kutti, Nava Jetavana of Mahavira & Saheth – Maheth. After sightseeing we move for lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to Lumbini. On the way to Lumbini we can visit to Kapilavastu for sightseeing  modern name Piprahwa & Ganwaria. To see here is Sankyan Stupa and Monasteries. After sight seeing here, we proceed to Lumbini around 3 and half hrs. journey.. Upon  arrival to Lumbini check in to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight will be in the Hotel.

Day 04 - Lumbini -Kushinagar 7 hrs. By Surface
We will have early morning breakfast in the hotel & then we proceed to Kushinagar (Kushinara or Kasia), which is near about 6 to 7 hrs journey, We will have our packed lunch. Upon  arrival to Kushinagar check in to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight will be in the Hotel.

 Day 05 - Kushinagar-Vaishali- Patna 7 hrs. By surface
Early Morning Breakfast in the hotel, check out and then we can have the sight seeing, which includes the Mahaparinirvana Temple & Nirvana Stupa or Ramabhar Stupa. After finishing sight seeing we commence our journey to Vaishali to see the Ashoka pillar, in history this place was also known as Raja Vaishala Ka Garh, After Vaishali, we straight proceed to Patna. In ancient time Patna was known as Patliputra & it was the capital of Magadh. After arrival in Patna, we check in into the hotel and then dinner in the hotel.

Day 06 - Patna/Nalnda/Rajgir/Bodhgaya 3 hrs. By Surface
Early Morning, we will have early breakfast , & then we proceed for Nalanda, on arrival we go for sight seeing of   Great Monastic University Ruins & Museum. After Nalanda, we move to Rajgir, on arrival we straight go for lunch in Rajgir sight seeing of Venu Van, Gridhar Kut, After sight seeing we proceed to Bodhgaya, which is two and half hour journey on arrival we check in to hotel, dinner & overnight.

Day 07 - Bodhgaya
Early Morning, we go for participating in the morning prayer under the Bodhi Tree, after prayer we come back for breakfast, and after breakfast, we proceed for sight seeing of.
MahaBodhi Temple, Thai Temple & Sujata Village. After Sightseeing we come back to have our lunch. After lunch leisure. Night dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 08 - Bodhgaya-Varanasi
After early  breakfast, we proceed to Varanasi by surface which will be journey of 5 hrs.. After arrival check in to the hotel, lunch will be in same hotel. After lunch. They can have rest for few hrs. and after that in evening at 5 pm we proceed to see the evening ceremony on Ganga River, which is one of the most important parts of sight seeing of Varanasi. But here we will use bicycle rickshaw because bus is not allowed in the city. After evening we will come back to dinner in hotel.

Day 09 - Varanasi-Sarnath-Agra By Bus/Train
Morning we have to wake up early & we go to see the sunrise on the Boat in Ganga River & cremation on the bank of the river. After this, we will come back to hotel for breakfast and late check out from the hotel at 12 pm after check out lunch in the hotel. After lunch, we proceed for the sight seeing of  Sarnath, half an hour journey form Varanasi, To see here Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhameka Stupa, Ashoka Pillar, Monasteries & Archeological Museum. After sight seeing of Sarnath. We can have some time for shopping & for shopping in Varanasi the silk factory is the best place. The silk of Varanasi is not only famous in India but also in abroad. After shopping, we proceed for dinner, after dinner we proceed to Railway Station half an hour journey from hotel. We take a train at 9:30 pm to Tundla from Varanasi & overnight at train.

Day 10 - Agra  
In the morning, we arrived at 7 am in Tundla the connecting station to Agra, The bus will be waiting for us there, from Tundla to Agra 45 minutes journey. After arrival we check in to the hotel. Breakfast, and after breakfast we can proceed for sightseeing of Agra fort. This fort was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Akbar by using a huge amount of local red sandstone along with the marble. and in history it was also known as Akbarabad on the name of King Akbar. In the history of India it was known as the “Paradise of the Universe”, here we will see, Diwan-E-Khas, Diwan-E- AAM, Khash Mahal,  Hanging Hall, Grape Garden, Jahangiri Mahal and the Prison of Shah Jahan. He was in this prison kept by his son for eight years and lastly he died. A deep moat, once filled with water from Yamuna River, surrounds the fort. This is also World Heritage Monument. After finishing the sight seeing of Fort. We will proceed for lunch in local resturant and then, we will visit to marble factory to see the marble inlay work. Which is one of the most important industries of Agra City. After marble factory we proceed to view the Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunset, The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, she died in 1631A.D. After couple of hrs. in Taj Mahal,  After that we will come back for dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 11 - Agra-Bhopal-Sanchi 5hrs. By Train
After breakfast, we will check out and transfer to Railway Station to board at train for Bhopal on arrival, we go straight for lunch. After lunch, we proceed for Sanchi 4hrs from Bhopal, In sanchi we will see the stupa. After sight seeing, we come back to Bhopal, have our dinner and transfer to Railway station to have a train for Bhusawal.

Day 12 - Bhuswal-Ajanta-Aurangabad By Surface
After arrival transfer to Ajanta for the Breakfast, & we begin our excursion to Ajanta Caves. Located 105 km north-east of Aurangabad, the caves date from around 200 BC to 600 AD. As Buddhism gradually declined, the Ajanta Caves were abandoned from gradually forgotten. But in 1819, British Hunting Party stumbed upon them and their remote beauty were soon unveiled. The isolation contributed to the fine state of preservation in which some of their remarkable paintings remain to this day. Ajanta is listed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will have a lunch in local resturant. Within the 30 rocks-hewn caves the murals show scenes from the Buddha’s life , and from the Jataka Tales, which recount stories of the Buddha’s previous incarnations as an enlightened being or Bodhisattva, Magnificent, detailed compositions, the murals include depictions of court scenes, princes and musicians, and offer fascinating glimpse of daily life in the 5th century. Later we return to Aurangabad, check in to hotel have our dinner & overnight in the hotel.

Day 13 - Aurangabad/Ellora/Mumbai By Surface/Flight
Today is the last day, after breakfast we will check out from the hotel,. We will have pack lunch for today with us.We proceed for half day excursion of Ellora Caves, another World Heritage Site, which encompass 34 rock-out shrines representing Buddhist, Hindu and Jain art dating from the 4th to 9th century AD. The caves are carved into the side of a basaltic hill 30 km from Aurangabad. The most remarkable among them is the Kailash Temple, meant to be a replica of Lord Shiva’s celestial abode, Kailash. It is the best example of rock cut architecture and the engineering skills of the times. After sightseeing in the evening we transfer to airport to fly Mumbai. Upon arrival we will be transfer for dinner. After dinner, we will be transfer to Internation Airport for departure.
